Ekaterina Syurina is called the “Russian miracle”, one of the most brilliant Russian opera singers, confidently performing on prestigious world stages
After graduating from the conducting and choral department of the Tchaikovsky Music College, Ekaterina entered the Russian Academy of Theater Arts in Moscow and, as a student of GITIS, was invited to the Moscow Municipal Theater Novaya Opera, where she brilliantly, in an ensemble with the famous baritone Dmitry Hvorostovsky, made her debut as Gilda in Verdi’s opera Rigoletto.

She becomes a laureate and winner of the audience award of the International Vocal Competition E. Obraztsova (St. Petersburg). She won the II Prize at the V International Rimsky-Korsakov Competition for Young Opera Singers, held at the Mariinsky Theatre.
2010-2015
In December 2010-2015, Ekaterina toured Russia as part of the Dmitry Hvorostovsky and His Friends project.
Concerts were held in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tyumen and Yekaterinburg. She burst into the opera world like a meteor and immediately declared herself!

This was immediately followed by invitations from the best opera houses in the world:

Susanna in "The Wedding of Figaro"
Ekaterina Syurina made her Italian debut as Susanna in Mozart’s The Wedding of Figaro at the “La Scala” Theater in Milan.

"Love drink"
The next performance in Italy was “Love Potion” as part of the troupe of the Paris Opera Bastille. The artist’s opera engagements included “Love Potion” at the Salerno Municipal Theater under the direction of Daniel Oren, at the Glyndebourne Festival and at the Houston Grand Opera, as well as Leila’s roles in Bizet’s “Pearl Seekers” at the San Diego Opera;
The play "Idomenei"
The play “Idomeneo” by Mozart with her participation in the role of Elijah was recorded on DVD on the Decca label at the Salzburg Festival dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the composer’s birth.

Ekaterina Syurina also performs on the concert stage and collaborates with many outstanding conductors of our time, including Yuri Temirkanov, Sir Roger Norrington, Philip Jordan, Richard Boning and Daniel Harding.
Ekaterina performed the soprano part in Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana” with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of London and with the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Yuri Temirkanov, as well as in Mozart’s “Mass in C Minor” with the Orchestra of Paris
